The project was conceived not just as a way to give applicants or transfers outside of WA a chance to connect to the service, but also as an entry point into virtual world technology and fresh approaches designed to reach a new generation of possible recruits who are moving away from tradition media like television, radio and newspapers. Second Life has proved incredibly successful at attracting real-world organisations into its online space. Companies including BMW, Calvin Klein, IBM and Reuters have all set up shop in Second Life, as have universities including The University of Queensland, Princeton and Harvard, and countries such as Sweden, Serbia and Macedonia even have embassies in the virtual world.Getting Started
